The food is great but the place and staff feels hostile, specially the cashier. It feel like in was not welcome, it might be me, but everything else is great specially the food. The chicken fried steak and the green beans and the mash patotoes was fabulous even the fudge peanut pie was fantastic.
Everything is good here! If you really want a treat, get a piece of the strawberry banana cake. It’s so good that you’ll want 2 large hunks. One to eat while you’re there and one to take home. I want some right now!
This is a great place worthy for five stars. The employees are really on the ball here, quick to fill your order and know how to juggle multiple tables and customers. The food was excellent while the portion size is nominal to cost. They have a variety of home cooked meals and one of the largest selections of desserts of any restaurant I've been to. Great place though very crowded during lunch. Will definitely return again.
Visit number 73...has anyone tried just the German chocolate cake with milk or a cup of coffee? It's close to the way my grandmother made it. BUT not quite. I ordered, you guessed it, an omelette with hash browns, toast and a sweet tea. Had room for the GCC and it was almost good enough for a second indulgence. Friendly people here and the staff is warm and great at their job. It would be nice if they offered a veterans discount.
My second time eating here and it was better than the 1st. I dined by myself this time and enjoyed everything I ordered. The waitresses were nice and politely kept checking on me. I intended on hearing slowly so I appreciated not being rushed. Above all, I like it and enjoy treating myself to breakfast every once in a while with their good home-cooking taste.
I typically go for the breakfast. Everything is made to order and there usually isn't a long wait. They also have daily specials so you can get great lunch/dinner options for $5.99-$7.99. My family loves this place and even if you don't have the time to sit and dine in, you can call in your order and pick it up. I'm not big on sweets, but my sister and son love their strawberry cake.
