I like their chicken enchiladas and their beans have a yummy smoky flavor. Good iced tea. Great service, attentive and friendly. Their salsa has zing, not too spicy.

The fajitas were great, my daughter enjoyed her tacos. Everything was good except the chips. Kinda like generic fritos.

Without a doubt, Mexican Inn Cafe is a N Texas Icon, they have tradition, popularity and close to 50years of service. It's easy for me to overlook poor service or slow turn around time for food, etc. I think upper management could do a better job in training their employees and require them to present Mexican Inn as an enjoyable restaurant rich in heritage, honor, with a vibrant atmosphere.
Perhaps the Traditions aren't as important as in years past. Pick up the pace M I staff! We love y'all forever.

We were in Denton, Texas but rather than heading to New Orleans by the most direct route, we went to Fort Worth just to eat at a Mexican Inn. One of my favorites from my many years of living in Fort Worth. Starting with the tortillas and Fritos style warm chips and a delicious salsa, everything was delicious and just the way I remembered it. Very flavorful and not too spicy if you do something silly like avoiding the salsa.

This is one of my most favorite go to when we have family in town. the food is delicious, the tortillas are authentic fresh made chips.my only complaint would be that the hot sauce is kind of just like vanilla, it's very plain it's almost like drinking tomato sauce spice it up Mexican inn, spice it up! Depending on who your server is you will get service that ranges from standard to excellence but I generally try to sit at Maria's table she is very customer oriented and takes care of you the whole way through.
