The Sausage Shoppe

This was my first time visiting this restaurant, i ordered some oxtails, cabbage, cornbread dressing, and candy yams along with some good ole peach cobbler and let me tell you the food was on point!! I talked with poncho (the owner ) he was very nice!! I give this place a 5 star! I will be visiting again

This business promotes itself as a Soul Food restaurant. Home style. I decided to give it a try. I was hungry for some BBQ. I was about to be disappointed.

It was 3pm and I asked for brisket. Sorry. Not available today. So I ended up having something different. The folks at the Sausage Shoppe served me up two pork chops. They were not the chops I'm used too. They were coated in batter and stewed in gravy. Now I have on my plate these coated and stewed in gravy pork chops. Well, they were not very tasty and all the gristle irritating me. So I give the chops a D.

My sides were boiled cabbage and green beans. They were okay. I give the green stuff a C. Frankly, the food wasn't time my liking. I don't plan on coming back. I've definitely had tastier chops and sides.

Listen if you want some good old fashioned soul food your momma used to make this is the place. It's not fancy but it's GOOD. The sausage are WONDERFUL and the customer service is GREAT too. Give it a try if your on that side if town and hungry.

This place is located in a shopping center. Their food is pretty good. My significant other had a turkey wing plate with black eyed peas and sweet potatoes it was good. I had a sausage plate that was delicious. Next time we go I will try their ox tails. Everyone was friendly. Which made this visit pleasant.

I’ve been here a few times & will continue coming here. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is good. And the people that are working here have always been very kind & friendly. Would definitely recommend coming here to anyone. ????
