First time here at around 7-8PM. Had to pay for parking. The inside is quite loud which makes it hard to have conversation across the table. The place itself is really cute. The service was good. Ordered a margarita for $10 and it was very small with lots of ice (small glass) but tasted good. Don't expect any buzz. The meatball appetizer was very good. The menu was good and the pizza was great and came out in a timely manner. One pizza fed two adults and 1 child who doesn't eat very much after sharing a couple meatballs.
This is the best pizza I have ever had. I have a friend who visited from Italy and he told me about this place. He said that this is as close to pizza in Italy as you can get. I usually go between 3pm - 6pm when it's Happy hour when certain pizzas are cheaper. Highly recommend.
Disappointed in their recent changes which appear to be driven by profits. Their menu has been reduced and is more cookie-cutter. Reminds me more of chain food than the unique brick oven pizza, sandwich, and beer joint that opened a few years ago.
Edit: 4/19/2019 - I appreciate the detailed reply from Cane Rosso ownership and can understand the explanation underlying the changes made to the menu.
The explanation we received from our server for the changes, and why they were made, was different. They mentioned consistency between the growing number of Cane Rosso locations, and needing to turnaround food more quickly during lunch hours. These explanations, combined with a menu that looked more streamlined, felt like the restaurant was moving in a particular direction. While profits are a good thing for ownership and the many workers and vendors tied to the business, my perception and particular preference is to dine at locations that feel more unique than streamlined (chain).
I am reviewing based on my perception and preferences, hoping it will help drive changes that I would like to see from a restaurant in my neighborhood.
Oh - bring back the Cuban sandwich! While the ‘Italian’ beef sandwich was pretty good, it’s really just a brisket sandwich and didn’t hold a candle to your Cuban or the Johnny C.
First timer here. I absolutely loved this place! Great good, great staff, and great location. We sat at the bar and the staff was very friendly and attentive even though they were busy. Watching them cook the pizza was also really cool. Definitely recommend.
I eat here regularly. Probably the best pizza in Fort Worth. Service is good and timely. The pizza is always tasty whether it’s a margarita pizza, or if it’s something unique like the Honey Badger. I’m from the northeast and Cane Rosso could compete back there.
