First time trying Billy Oak. Been on my list for many years. I just wish we could've visited the old location. Service was very friendly. Anytime I go to a new BBQ place, I get the 3 meat combo so I can try the main meats. The brisket was flavorful, but just a bit dry. The sausage has a nice little kick! The ribs were cooked perfectly! The potato salad is top notch. The cole slaw was average, and the green beans, while nicely seasoned, were from a can. We got dessert to go. Very small for $4.50.

This was a very small place with good BBQ at their old location on Las Vegas Trail. Their new location on Camp Bowie West is much larger, has a better atmosphere, and the food is even better. Maybe it is because of a better kitchen. Now, when we want BBQ, we will probably go to Billy's. My ribs were terrific.

My last visit to Billy's was their location near Lake Worth. To say I was underwhelmed would be an understatement. Perhaps all the hype I'd heard about the place made my expectations a bit high. Whatever the reason, I had no intention of returning.

Today I was talked into trying their new location on Camp Bowie West. It was a treat. From the waitstaff to the parking, to the food, it might have been a totally different operation, not just a new location. With that said, I recognized several of the employees from the old location, something has changed. Their attitudes or my expectations. Either way, it was excellent and we will return.

I had an excellent pulled pork sandwich. The sides, we all sampled, pinto beans, coleslaw, onion rings, and house-made chips were great. My wife says the brisket could have been sliced a little thinner for her tastes. There were four others dining with us, and I cannot remember what they had. I do know everyone cleaned their plates.

Nice place and pure Texas. Got the three meat plate with brisket, ribs, sausage and a double of pinto beans side. The thick sliced brisket pulled apart with ease and the rib meat falls off the bone. The pecan smoked meats were juicy and delicious. Beans lacked seasoning and the sauce is all sweet, no heat. Portions were ample and service was good. I'll be back with family and friends.

Love the new location. Easy to find and plenty of seating. Brisket was moist and tender and perfectly fatty, and the pulled pork was on point! ???????? Fried Okra was off the menu and perfectly crispy and seasoned. I always order a side of gravy to top it off. Onion rings were light and crisp, but fully cooked. Just right. Banana Pudding is always fresh and delicious. Best in Texas!
