Omg. Phenomenal food! The mussels and the flounder were amazing. The lamb was also amazing.
Good quality food. Very different from what you would normally get anywhere else. I had this steak tartare, which was raw beef. Explain that the quality of the beef was what made it safe to eat uncooked. It was pretty tasty, with no meaty smell.
We also had a duck dish which was good too
It was weird to be at a French restaurant and have a young waitress call us love, darling, etc. She was American so it seemed very pretentious. The food was delicious. The gnocchi were light and very tasty. Everything we had was delicious except the dessert. The crepes were overwhelmed by the flavor in the cherry and the grand marnier. Oddly, the nutella and banana one was the best and didn't overwhelm the crepe. The atmosphere was pleasant - very personable - unlike a lot of the other high-end restaurants in Fort Worth. The service was excellent - and she knew not to reach over a diner.
We had a group Valentine’s dinner here the day after Valentine’s and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The restaurant in in a quaint little old house that has been renovated in a French inspired restaurant. The wait staff was friendly and the chefs prepared a wonderful meal for us. Pricing was very reasonable and a great wine selection as well. I would recommend the beef tenderloin with peppercorn sauce!
I have little to compare the reboot of St. Emilion to, not having eaten there before the changes that I'm reading about in the other reviews. All I can say is that when my wife and I went last week to celebrate our anniversary, our reception was cordial and even accommodating. She had received a gift certificate, which had expired at the end of October, but the restaurant still honored it. The food was superb; and Rusty, who was waiting on us that night, doubling his role as a chef, was extremely helpful and informative about menu choices. Best of all, we left with change in our pockets. Something I was not expecting at all!
