Well we were pleasantly surprised...the staff was very helpful with the menu...the wonderful meat cutter spoke fluent Spanish/English which was great because we had some Spanish only speaking people with us and it made them very comfortable. I loved the ribs smokey & tender, mac and cheese was creamy. The boneless chicken very flavorful...we would go back.

I ordered the dinner plate and had very tender, delicious brisket with a huge, fully loaded baked potato that was fluffy inside. My husband got the 2 meat plate with brisket and pulled pork. Both were delicious! He enjoyed his baked potato, too. Since we're from Round Rock, we're hooked on Rudy's, but Cousins is a great place for Barbecue, too.

My first visit and yes, we will be back. The staff was very helpful with menu selections. The place was clean, drinks were cold, food was hot, fresh and amazing. Loved the decor, loved the condiment selection. Thanks for a wonderful time!! See you all soon!!

I ordered the half smoked chicken plate with mustard potato salad and fried okra. The smoked chicken was tender and well seasoned. The okra was a tad salty but crispy and good and the potato salad was delicious. They didn't inform me that there was no Texas toast and when I had to go back in and inquire then I was informed they didn't have any. Better believe I didn't get a discount nor was I offered anything in it's place. I wasn't pleased with that but I guess that's how some people run their business.

As I visit places around Texas (I am a new resident), BBQ is something I was told I must have from Texas. I love BBQ and have my favorites from other places that I always compare to. I try to rate based on the place, not the comparison of food but that comparison does sometimes come into consideration.

I enjoyed this place. The atmosphere was great and the employees very cordial. I loved the decor and caught myself wanting to know more about some of the autographed memorabilia they had on the walls. I will return and find out later.

The service was quick and the food pretty good. I ordered the 3 meat combo so I could sample a few items. I was asked if I wanted sauce on the meats or on the side. I chose on the side because my belief is that if the BBQ is outstanding, you do not need the sauce. If I use the sauce, it generally means the BBQ lacks some flavor or I just want something spicier or sweeter. All in all, the food was good. I felt that the ribs were very tasty but a little tough. They could be smoked a little longer and with the rub they use on them would make for an outstanding tender rib.

I will return here because it was good.
