Fine spot for quality Turkish food. Good place to catch up with friends. The prices are well within reason for the quality. Food and atmosphere reminds me of Kansas City.
This hidden gem in Fort Worth Southside is simply perfect. The ambient lighting, wood panel interior with carpets on display brings you to a peaceful place. After a night at the Modern, viewing David Parks opening show, dinner at The Flying Carpet was a truly magical experience. Thanks to the waitstaff and chef for creating such a special place. We literally felt like we were inside a scene from Aladdin. Great job here.
Delicious! We got the lamb kebab over yogurt and pita, it was definitely something to come back for. Everything we ordered was bursting with flavor. The only thing I wouldn't get again was the yogurt drink which was smooth, but very salty. This is clearly described in the menu, I just wanted to give it a try and decided the unusual taste was not for me. For dessert be sure to try the baklava paired with Turkish coffee.
Great food!. I just love lamb and eggplant dishes and they have many. Tender meat and smokey flavorful eggplant do not disappoint. The atmosphere is lovely too. More than casual dining with gorgeous rugs on the walls in a beautiful wooden building.
My husband and I just enjoyed a fabulous dinner with our two young daughters ages 5 and 1.5. The food was wonderful but the service and ambiance far exceeded five stars!!! The chef personally came to our table when he was informed of my allergies and created a delicious meal for me. Our server was very attentive and went out of his way to make our five year old smile. After our meal, the very polite chef came to our table again and brought us a delectable dessert, and one custom made for me too- it was magnificent! Finally, at the conclusion of our meal when our daughter exclaimed how delicious the (complimentary) dessert was, the chef brought her an extra piece boxed for her to take home and have tomorrow- all the while his only concern was her happiness. With regard to price, we felt that they were priced very appropriately and honestly we wouldn’t mind paying a bit more for the quality of service we received. The average meal was about $12. My husband’s meal, a combo with both chicken and lamb kabob was $17. We chose for our two daughters to share an adult meal which will feed them for two days- they had the chicken kabob which was accompanied by rice and salad for $14. Finally, I personally thought the beautifully carved wooden box our bill came in was a very nice touch! We absolutely will be returning!
