The Lakehouse

I am typically a conservative reviewer. I like to give credit where credit is due. BOY, does this place deserve some credit! We came in hungry, but with low expectations due to our experiences eating at several restaurants on Eagle Mountain Lake. Seems like for MOST lakeside restaurants, the focus is on the view, not the food. Lakehouse is NOT your typical waterfront restaurant. The service was excellent, the prices were decent, the beer on tap was frothy and ice cold, and the atmosphere was casual, but still classy.

Now, let's move on to the food: WOW.
I ordered the Ojai burger and was delighted: delicious, fresh brioche bun, tasty fresh toppings (red onions, arugula, gourmet cheese, special sauce and avocado smash) and the patty was cooked to perfection. The sweet potato fries were the best I've had (hint of cinnamon was a nice surprise). My kids loved their meals also: chicken fingers w/regular fries, house salad with homemade ranch dressing. ALL DELIGHTFUL!

The food was great. I had the Lake Fire Burger with sweet potato fries. The pairing was outstanding. The spicy with the burger and the sweet fries was awesome. The staff was busy but very attentive. A good blend of checking on you and not being annoying. Jacob helped myself and my wife.

Love the outdoor seating. The service was attentive and the food was fresh. Enjoyed the fried pickles very much. The Corona was cold and refreshing! Definitely coming back soon.

Great band Ashmore and service is great. Food needs revamping but the view is great. To many kids running around so not the best place for adult night. I'm not anti kid because I have two of my own but that is the point...to get away with you and your spouse. At the same time its family friendly and appears to be a safe location. Overall it was very good and we will be back. PS. Stay away from the Cajun unless you like hot. The chicken salad was fantastic with the honey mustard. All waitresses and waiters were fantastic so we tipped very well. Nice work staff!

The Lakehouse's food is amazing. The sausage sandwich has to be one of the best things I've ever eaten. They don't have a huge selection, but everything they do offer on their menu is excellent.

It's a cool place on eagle mountain lake with great food and super reasonable prices, plus an incredible view of the lake. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone.
