Pretty good, really liked the chips and dip. Lunch was very good also, service was great.
Will go back again.

Amazing for my birthday dinner! My mom, being from Chicago insisted she take me to a nice, sit down restaurant for my birthday dinner. I'm not into fancy places, so we gave this place a try. The service was Awesome. The waitress was new but on top of her game. Giving us refills and our chip basket never went empty. My mom was extremely impressed with dinner, and was pleasantly surprised that it averaged out to be only about $11 per person. We also appreciated that even though it took a bit longer to get our food out because they had a huge party ahead of us, the manager personally came, apologized and was honest about it. Now our food was fantastic. I asked for double the sour cream sauce and they did! It was so incredible, I wish I knew the recipe! The quality of El Tejas is that of a high end, fancy restaurant, but with the comfort of a casual sports bar atmosphere. I can't wait to come back! Also, my mom said this is her favorite place in TX :)

This place is not much to look at but it has an "at home" feel. The food is good. Good drink prices. The service is great. They have the best salsa hands down. It's served hot and it has a kick to it but if you like it a little spicy.....you'll love it.

The salsa was really tasty. I had the house special and it was very good. The waitstaff was attentive and the prices were more than reasonable.

Lots of family fun we brought my mother here in November for her birthday, they put a big Sombrero on your head and saying happy birthday to her. 74 year old woman it was a lots of fun., this time we came for one of the kids birthdays they did the same thing, put the big Sombrero on his head and sing Happy Birthday. the food was excellent. A place you'd want to bring your family to and the food is great, lots of fun
