Reds Smokehouse BBQ

I am currently in a gluttonous food meat coma because I just had a Texan sized brisket sandwich, barbecue beans, and potato salad.

Finished work a little after 6 pm today doing my best not to get on Facebook all day but low and behold Tim Galaviz posts a humongous tantalizing Texan size sandwich on Reds Smokehouse BBQ.

After struggling to find my wallet I sped to the restaurant not realizing they were closed already but Tim Galaviz is great guy and had my sandwich ready to go with bbq beans. Well to tell you the truth I normally hate bbq beans so asked for potato sald but being a nice guy he gave me both. I was bummed that they were closed because I was afraid the sandwich and bread would get soggy so I made sure keep the packaging open one the ride home, but 14 minutes later after cracking a blue moon with slice of cara cara orange I took a big bite into a crispy sandwich with a mound of well seasoned brisket that was very tender and moist with a nice smoky peppery flavor. I was extremely surprised that the bread was still crisp and delicious. The creamy cheese and grilled jalapenos complimented the brisket very well. Although I was slightly disappointed to get Sweet Baby Rae's barbecue sauce instead of getting homemade bbq sauce I didn't care because the sandwich was so good it didn't need any sauce. The sandwich was so big and intimidating I wasn't sure I could eat the whole sandwich much less to try any of the sides but I am a curious cat so I tried the potato salad which which I really like because red potatoes were used with a very creamy mayo with fresh cracked pepper and crispy celery. The texture of the red potatoes was perfect not too mushy nor too firm. I was halfway through my sandwich and had eaten my half my potato salad and I was going to quit since I was getting full.

My curiosity got the best of me because the bbq beans looked so good with big chunks of brisket, and sausage blended with the beans. I opened up the container of beans and a fragrant smell of the broth from brisket and sausage drippings compelled me to take a bite. I couldn't stop if I wanted to because it was so good.

Another 10 minutes later and everything is gone and I feel miserably satisfied. Tim Galaviz I am so mad at you for staying open and making me this delicious sandwich. I think I may have to come back real soon and give you a piece of my mind and eat some more of your barbecue. I will definitely tell all my friends. I am also mad at niece Nan Nguyen for not telling me about this gem in Kennedale. I have driven by there probably a hundred times on my way to work but never really noticed it too much because I was in such a hurry going home or going to work.

Tim and Candice are extremely hospitable and warm and it was extremely nice of them to stay open another 20 minutes after closing for me. I definitely will be back and I'll tell all my friends and neighbors. Lots of friends and family have been back repeatedly since I posted my review and everyone has more than satisfied. I have been back two days later and it was just as good and the banana pudding was quite satisfying. Just the right amount of creamy pudding, fresh bananas and crunchy vanilla cookies.

This place is nuts! We had a 3 meat (pork, brisket and jalapeno sausage) plate... I don't know what kind of quality was served before Tim came on but we loved everything. Brisket was glistening and moist, pork was slightly sweet and delicious, the sausage was a nice taste and texture. The beans were, perhaps, the best beans I've ever had. This place should be on the map, soon!

AMAZING! One of my coworkers just brought me lunch from this place(first time hearing of it) and it was delicious. Pictures of this place look awesome but the food will definitely get me in the door YUM!

Just had lunch there it was delicious. I had two meat combo ,cracked black pepper sausage and the sliced brisket. I love BBQ. And I have eaten at hard eight and many other barbecue places. The barbecue is better than Hard 8. And the price it's a lot easier on the pocketbook. you're going to have to try it!
