Such an awesome place! The owner and staff were super helpful and always ready to serve with a smile on their face. They walked us through the process since we had never been there before and didn't know what to expect. What a fun place!! The food comes to you on a conveyor belt and if you want something specific it will come your way on a separate transport. Kids will like it and adults will stay entertained by both the food and the process of bringing your food to your table. Thanks Akarii! We had so much fun.

My wife and I went today on the recommendation of friends and coworkers, and have to say, it wasn't up to expectation. I know the location is fairly new, and in the interest of being constructive, and hopes that they're reading reviews, I'd like to detail some points that may be considered.

To start with the positive, your front of house staff is polite, attentive, and informative for new customers. The decorations are attractive and tastefully minimal, seating/tables are adequate (a bit straight backed for my liking), and price is what I would expect from a revolving plate restaurant.

Moving to where you lost us, your rice seems to have been prepped, rolled and stored well before the rolls were served on the line. As in, hours before. It's texture was overly firm and moisture was lacking. The imitation crab you use is like something I've never had before, and not in a good way. If I were to make a comparison, it would be to canned tuna in water. Stringy, dry, and with a curious odor that always seems to come along with canned meats. Finally, the breaded/fried rolls. Either because of being placed inside the covered plates still hot, perhaps just because of how long they were in the rotation, or because oil temp wasn't high enough, every fried roll we tried had lost all crispness and was a flat chewy breading with an oil saturation that overpowered every other flavor in the roll.

You've got a great location, building, and staff, but as it sits, the rice and imitation crab quality will keep us away.

What a great value! Is it the best sushi I or you have ever had? No not even close. Is it a tasty meal with a fun and different experience at a good price? Yes exactly, that is exactly what it is. From the food delivery system to the ordering it was a fun process to get used to. We discovered we would see something we liked 9n the conveyor belt and then place an order for it rather than take it off the belt. The ones we ordered always seemed slightly better (more fresh or larger serving) than what we saw on the conveyor. The little boat that delivers custom orders was pretty neat too so that helped. To give you an idea of what the value is, my wife and I had 2 bottles of hot sake and were stuffed on sushi for $62. We usually spend over $100 whenever we have a sushi date night and have never ordered more than 1 carafe of sake. I'm giving it 5 stars based on the excellent value, the good quality food and the unique (at least for this area) experience. Check it out have fun and be adventurous, it's 2.95 a plate pretty much so try something you normally wouldn't.

Let’s start with the good and great! Akarii has good sushi, if you are a sushi novice there are plenty of fun and tasty combos to try to test the waters. The staff is very friendly and table service was helpful and non-intrusive. There are two negatives that we found in our dining experience. First, the lids that encase the plates are not exceptionally secure and more than one plate met a fateful end on the face of the table. Second, the custom order was PAINFULLY slow. We chose to go on a Sunday when the crowd was smaller and 3 custom plates took over 20 minutes. We actually forgot what we ordered... Would we recommend Akarii to you? Yes, the sushi and service are good and if you’ve never been to a revolving sushi bar, you will have fun. I suspect that the issues we experienced will be corrected as the restaurant ages and gains more popularity. I’m excited to see what the future holds for Akarii!

Food was wonderful and made fresh. Service was attentive and highly knowledgeable. Price was very good for the portions. Atmosphere is laid back, modern and clean. Technology used for service is top notch and fun. Will definitely make this a monthly stop.
