I always dock a place 1 Star if they don’t have fountain drinks and charge per can. That is this place. Food tastes good, if heavy on the beans. Prices are okay though some portion sizes are small. I’d go back.
This was our second visit, and today decided to try their breakfast menu, the Huevos Rancheros were delicious, and my husband said the Chilaquiles with Chorizo/egg were the “bees knees”...we’re determined to return and eventually try everything on their menu, if you enjoy sweet coffee - I highly recommend you try Cafe de olla
Enchiladas were good - Nice artistic presentation as well.
Beef and chicken quesadillas were ok.
Their house chips are very thick.
I like Tex Mex salsa with my chips they really don't have that here. I'm not a big fan of going to a restaurant and standing in line to order food but thought I would try a more traditional Mexican cuisine. It's a buzz kill waiting for a water refill that never came.
I've honestly never been to a Mexican restaurant that charges an additional fee for chips $1.99. I wouldn't have minded paying for them but I didn't like them, they're too thick where they almost taste stale but I know they're fresh
The owner was very welcoming and is making a concerted effort to offer a quality product and something a little different in Mansfield so for that thank you and good luck.
This is one of the best Mexican Food restaurants I have ever been to. They have a location in Venus also. They are still getting the service kinks worked out at the Mansfield location, but the food is just as good. So good, service is always nice. If you enjoy Mexican food definitely check it out.
Congratulations Mansfield, you opened a restaurant that wasn't fried chicken! We stopped in here for lunch today. The line was relatively short but got significantly longer after we ate. You order over a counter here and it's very difficult to see what's on the menu as all of the menus are just scattered across the counter with a bunch of people in the way. There is no menu on the wall, so this leads to HUGE inefficiency. They need to make their menus more accessible or they are going to have problems with lines because people don't know what to order when they make it to the cashier.
We ordered the chips and salsa. It arrived a few minutes after we ordered. The chips are those thick and really crunchy kind. The salsa is thin. The style reminds me a lot of what you would find in the Yucatan. We ordered the chicken enchiladas and the tacos al carbon (with chicken). Both were packed with a ton of flavor. I was pretty impressed honestly. The rice had a lot of flavor in it as well. Soft drinks here are served in cans. That's a bit annoying but I guess provides for more of an "authentic" experience. It doesn't look like they have alcohol.
There is limited seating in this restaurant. Fire Marshall capacity is only 42, so I expect it could be challenging to get a seat at times. My issue with this type of restaurant is that it costs as much as any other sit-down restaurant but you have to wait in line. If I have to wait in line, it should cost less.
