Man, oh man, oh man!
Went to the Lowe’s in Hurst to pick up an order and noticed an amazing aroma as I walked in. I looked around and couldn’t see anything. I asked the clerk who was helping me how she could get any work done with that tantalizing smell tickling her nose. She said she’d learned to tune it out ????
I picked up my order and as I walked out the exit at the other end of the store, there it was!
J and N Vending’s mobile food service trailer.
The intense aroma of grilled onions was hard to ignore. I asked Omar for a recommendation, and he suggested the Texas Cheesesteak sandwich with everything on it. I ordered one, and a Mexican Coke to go with it.
It was so worth the wait! I was hungry; and talk about “hitting the spot” - mine was obliterated! The melding of flavors, the crunchy toasted bun, the slight burn of the salsa picante washed down by the crisp tasting Mexican Coke can only be described as “ahhhhhh.....!”
I sat down on the bench close by and thoroughly relished my sandwich, down to the last crumb.
As I drove home, I found the tip of my tongue exploring my mouth for any last iota of flavor and gulped down the last of my fizzy Coke.
