Awesome breakfast. Not the cheapest way to have one for travelers, but also not unfair and worth it once in a while. I think we spent between 25 to 30 dollars for a fairly good breakfast for 2 people. Expect to find menu combos contained mainly of: pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, hot chocolate, etc.
My wife and I were staying at the Gaylord Texan for her birthday weekend, she loves IHOP pancakes so we found a restaurant close by. The first day our experience was good. Clean restaurant, friendly staff and good food. Our second visit after we checked out of our room was PHENOMENAL! Easter Sunday and 15 people waiting to be seated. Actual wait time was only 3 minutes and not an empty seat available. Our Waiters name was Sam and this gentleman was amazing. Not only was he smiling while seating us but proceeded to take our order without writing anything down. I was extremely impressed as he was handling 20+ people and still managed to walk to every table multiple times to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. After we ate he handed us our bill and when ready to let him know. His coworker was clearing the table of dishes off behind where we were seated and my wife and I overheard him say to her.... let me help you get those dishes and proceeded to ask if he could remove our dishes as well. Sam did an amazing job above and beyond his requirements. This gentleman made our dining experience one of the best ever. To think it's only an IHOP. I've had $100.00 plates of food at prestigious restaurants throughout the U.S. but I have never received the level of service that Sam provided for my wife and I. BRAVO SAM.......BRAVO
We planned this restaurant to meet up with a long time friend we hadn't seen in years (just traveling through). We told the waitress we were gonna be there awhile and she was very receiving. Great service, friendly staff, great food. We never felt rushed at all.
I came in for the free pancakes, and added the raspberry compote for a couple dollars. The pancakes came on a plate only slightly bigger than the pancakes which made them a little tricky to eat and have the food stay on the plate. The splashberry tea came in a regular sized water glass, and the bacon was the right amount of crispy. The waitress was almost a little too eager to please. This was a nicer and cleaner restaurant than I am used to.
