Belzoni's Catfish Cafe'

Good catfish, plan on returning to try chicken and burgers which looked very yummy. The people who work there are very nice and friendly. I felt as if they really were happy to see me. ????

Wow, this place is amazing! The catfish is fried to perfection. The sides compliment the main dish very well. They staff is great and checked in on our table a couple of times throughout our visit to make sure we were okay. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for some good food.

Oh my word! Such yummy food and such sweet owners! This place is our new favorite. The catfish was outstanding, perfectly breaded and fried. Mac and cheese was so, well, cheesy! And it has just the right amount of kick. Fried okra is a must as well. This local eatery is owned and operated by very friendly folks who genuinely care for their guests. Do yourself a favor and check them out today!

The Catfish and “even” the okra and turnip greens are 5 Plus Star. The service/appreciation expressed by owner and employees for our business are 5 plus Star. Only reason I rate this restaurant a 4 minus Star is the atmosphere/table locations. Window shades do not allow you to see outside very well and concrete floors/high ceilings make it pretty noisy; there’s also a crowded feeling. With all this said, food is so awesome, I want to go back ASAP!

Being from Mississippi, I might be supposed to know a little about fried Delta catfish. I found the catfish perfectly cooked, coated in a seasoned cornmeal and fried slightly crispy while retaining a tender inside texture. The "catfish on a bun" (otherwise known as a catfish po-boy) had a generous portion of fish, two large filets that overlapped the bun. Served with a slathering of tartar sauce and jalapenos, it was a very satisfying meal. The fish came out piping hot, clearly having been started in the fryer only once I'd ordered. Similarly, the french fries were crispy golden outside with a fluffy inside, just as they should be, served hot. The fish was seasoned with a little salt and black pepper, just the way it's done in the Delta. The staff were efficient, friendly, and came by a couple of times to make sure I was enjoying my lunch, which I assuredly was!
