Sweet Thyme Kitchen

This is what The Front Porch wants to be. Super cute sit-in experience, wonderful staff, and delicious food worth every cent! My boyfriend and I have come two days in a row now.

This quaint bistro and bakery is wonderful. Everything is created from scratch and is fresh daily. The owners ash’ and staff are very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Sweet Thyme.

This little eatery was a find! Everything is homemade - the bread, the salad dressings, everything! Lots of menu items are daily specials and ALL delicious! The staff was friendly and helpful too. We will definitely be back! 🥰

The poached pear salad, chicken salad, key lime pie, and customer service were EXCELLENT!! Katy at the register was so courteous, friendly, and accommodating - a real hospitality professional! She managed a long line of waiting customers so smoothly and efficiently.
These things combined helped compensate for the sparse air conditioning and hard, tiny stools at the high top tables. I wish we could have sat at a regular table.

There are those of us who consider food an essential experience. We enjoy varied, interesting, and complex flavors that work together in new and unexpected ways. We've learned that food is something that you can touch, feel, smell, hear, and obviously taste. Sweet Thyme Kitchen, is for everyone but it is a haven for people who enjoy experiencing food.

The things that set sweet time apart are the time, care, and thought that they put into their food. I find myself impressed by the list of things that they won't do. They won't use a delivery service because they cannot guarantee that the experience that they mean for you to have won't be interrupted or ruined by poor delivery or the time that it takes to get to you. They don't purchase from gigantic corporate food service providers but instead buy fresh, local ingredients every single day.

Their food isn't just nutrients for your body to process. It is art. Their care and attention to detail and the joy that exists inside of this little cafe is something that has to be experienced to really understand what makes Sweet Thyme Kitchen the best restaurant in Abilene.
