“I always enjoy my visits to Jason's Deli. The food is consistently delicious and the service is quick and friendly. My special favorite is the Black Current Tea that I haven't found anywhere else. Update-7/12/22: we stopped in for a quick bite before a movie. The restaurant wasn't crowded (it was the early part of dinner rush) , food was delicious, as always. I had a yummy salad (can't remember the name) and my friend had the California Club.”

“See edit... It's chicken strips, fries and slaw and Italian bread being passed off as Texas toast. Nothing special about any of that, especially the Not-Texas toast. The Cane sauce is their redeeming grace. I prefer "chick"en a little more "golden" and some mashed potatoes w/gravy or Cajun fries from the muscle bound sailor are better sides than fries and soggy slaw. I probably won't be coming back. But who knows? I may want some more of that Cane sauce... Edit - couldn't deny the Cane sauce, and the timeliness. They're pretty darn fast. Still not my favorite style of strip or side options... But fast and that DANG sauce!”

“This place was awesome! The inside atmosphere is less than desirable, but the food is great. I think they also make their sushi fresh as it is ordered. This paired with their good pricing is exactly what I've been looking for. The hibachi chicken is also had a good flavor. Their portions are pretty large. “My wife and I made a quick trip to Abilene last week. We decided to eat at a place we haven't prior. We decided on BAR-B-QUE but with the condition that it is on our way home. My wife read a couple of reviews and chose Bar-B-Que Barn in Buffalo Gap, Texas. Great little town!! Great BAR-B-QUE!!!! The brisket is very tender, moist and the sauce is slightly tangy and just compliments the brisket, beans and potato salad!!! We loved it. My wife's Chopped beef sandwich was so moist and tender that it just crumbled so delightfully in her mouth!! Also, the sausage was very tender and great taste!!! The atmosphere is small home-town-Texas rustic with multiple original traditional memorabilia: All kinds of hats, both military and general businesses, with the dates and small messages of who's who and territorial allegiances. Multiple news headlines of local, state and US events and history. WE ARE DEFINITELY GOING TO MAKE TIME TO SPEND MORE TIME IN BUFFALO GAP AND EAT AT BAR-B-QUE BARN!!!! 😃👍”

“I love Oscar’s! I eat there any time I’m in Abilene, TX. Their Mexican food is always inexpensive and consistently good. I had the fajita beef quesadillas and they were really good. They had onions and bell peppers in them. I also got a side of rice and beans. I always love their chips and salsa. Plus, their cups are huge which means less refills. Who can’t get on board with that? I highly recommend this restaurant and feel like everyone should eat here.”

“We always enjoy our visits to both Abilene locations. Today we order the Cajun that's red fish on a bed of rice topped with gumbo and crayfish. One of today's specials was build your own platter so I chose a salad, catfish, and red beans and rice and they were all delicious. The good food and the 5 Star hospitality of our server Amanda keeps us coming back on the regular. If you haven't yet check them out when you want some good seafood choices. 😋 Oh and the salmon is my go to dish when I can't decide.”
