Opal Divine's Marina

I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. I really enjoyed this place, the decor screamed post-shift bar without the seediness. It was cozy, the food didn't break the bank and I'll be damned if it wasn't good. But, alas it was bar food, and if you were looking for something more complex then you may want to consider other options. In short, it was good and not terribly priced. It was comfortable. Does it try and be what it's not? No. And that's just fine. Almost five stars, just not quite.

I only give 4/5 stars because of the traffic and speed bumps you have to negotiate. The food is always great with little wait time. My favorite is the Cuban sandwich with sweet potato fries.

Went out with coworkers. The outside seating was cozy and nice, despite being next to a freeway and a viewing area of the malls. Wine selection is good and the beer selection even more so. Food is actually better than expected for being bar food. Service was prompt and informative.

The server was awesome. The ambiance was fine. They were welcoming and friendly when I arrived.

We were there with a HUGE group with the back room reserved, the staff was buzzing constantly trying to meet our needs. A few balls got dropped,
though like my friends drink orders and food orders were forgotten entirely at one point, but we finally managed to get it taken care of.

At the end of the night, they let us stragglers chat and sip our beers while they were cleaning up. However the private room was not protected from the noise of the main bar, and their promised amenities were not communicated to the staff and necessary cabeling to make use of the big screen was neither available not communicated to us in advance so we could have provided our own. Not planning to return for a private event. I am sure we would have payed less to order our own food and drinks and occupied the same space as an impromptu large group.
