Hands down the best Mexican food I’ve had in Austin, and I have tried a lot in the past 5 years. From authentic food trucks to chains. I grew up eating authentic Mexican food at home, growing up in a border town, and in Mexico including Matamoros, Mexico. The birria is heavenly, absolutely mouth-watering perfection, and to die for. It’s absolutely worth the drive or even a day trip because it’s so darn delicious. Words can’t ever do it justice, just trust me and go try it. It’s perfect in every way including the amount of food you get. I’m definitely taking people here when they visit Austin.

Hell yes! One taco is a solid snack - two tacos will fill ya up. Looking for something new in the neighborhood and noticed this gem. It's only been at this location (slaughter and Brodie) for a month and I'm expecting this to become one of the local highlights for a quick lunch or dinner while it's here.

I ordered the planchitas double plate with carnitas and for $9 I'm more than pleased. My food truck scratch has been thoroughly itched. A big greasy plate of corn tortillas stuffed to the brim with an extras to catch the overflow.

    **Update**
They recently built a large shaded deck with a few more tables to accommodate more customers more comfortably. Also, I got to bring the whole family out this week visiting from Pennsylvania and Colorado and they all have a new favorite taco truck as well!

This was a surprising find. I had the sencilla (three tacos de barbacoa with a small consomme). The meat was very flavorful and soft. There was only a small amount of stringiness, because the meat was rendered well and they added melted cheese. The corn tortillas didn't fall apart either. The consomme was good but the tacos stood out on their own. I think this place is a hidden gem down south. Highly recommend.

Exceptional service and authentic Mexican food. First time we came they were out of the Agua Chiles but said they would have some saved for us next week. Here we are, and they have plenty for us, so we ordered that and much more. Will be continuing to come here. Highly recommended

We are pretty picky about our tacos but these were 👏👌Very tasty, freshly made, flavorful and filling. The aqua fresca was huge and thrilled we could opt for no sugar. There are picnic tables and a big empty parking lot our toddler could run around in. Will def be coming back
