I had the chicken stew. Delicious. Local restaurant vibe and reasonable prices, I'll definitely be back. My brother had the snapper and he thought it was great as well.
This place is great tasting! I had the goat curry. Absolutely delicious! The cabbage is awesome. My husband doesn't really like cabbage, but he loved it here! I would recommend this place and of course I would certainly come back!
I ordered the combo plate: jerk pork and brown stew chicken, and cocoa bread. It was good, hot and not overly spicy. My friend had the oxtails/jerk chicken. She wasn't especially pleased with her oxtails and said they were rather tough. However, she said that they're usually phenomenal. It was lunch time so busy. I would dine here again. Plus, it's one of the few Jamaican restaurants in the Austin area.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!
My friend and I went in and seated ourselves. The service was very friendly. There were other families near us, and seemed to really enjoy their meal.
We ordered Jamaican jerk chicken wings, Oxtail curry and Goat curry. And ahh the food was so good! The jerk chicken was really juicy with this amazing rub/sauce on it. The curries came with plantains (love it) and cabbage on the side. I’m glad we got both curries because they had such different flavor profile.
I recommend this place to anyone wanting to try something new.
First time ordering from here. Third time eating Jamaican food. It tastes like authentic Jamaican food. I got two plates of jerk chicken, one curry chicken, and one ox tail. It was a first time for the ox tail, and I love it. It breaks off the bone so easily. The other two, curry & jerk didn't disappoint. They had a little spicy to them but not overwhelmingly. I actually placed an order over the phone which was a breeze to do so. By the time I got there the food was pretty much ready. Can't forget about the patties. I got 3 beef, 3 chicken, and 1 veggie. They were amazing! They also sell pretty much all Jamaican drinks you can think of, including the kolas.
