The corn dog is legit the best one I've ever had, and I grew up eating all the corn dogs. The batter is thick with a slight hint of sweetness (unlike some that are overly sweet) and the texture is great. Nice job ?

Oh, Y'all. Y'all. Y'all!!! This is sooooo not on my diet plan, but some days ya just gotta say, live a little!!
Honestly, these hushpuppies filled with mac and cheese were THE BEST THING I EVER ATE! They were creamy, and crunchy and the batter wasn't greasy, it was deliciously all cornbready kinda like a corndog batter sorta...I don't know. But OMG. AND BIG! Like almost baseball sized, nearly. I was picturing golfball...I got baseball.
So freaking delicious.
As a bonus, I used to have my own store where they are now, and met my husband there 20 years ago. Memories!
You gotta go there! Seriously.

The food here is comfort food that's great for lunch. We got the Mac n' cheese and spicy sausage hush puppies and the Philly cheese steak sandwich with chicken. The hushpuppies are definitely indulgent, but the batter is actually just what you think of when you picture a crispy homemade hushpuppie from your childhood. The cheese steak was a ton of food with a great flavor. The prices are very reasonable and there's a pretty good variety for lunch counter faire. I can definitely see us craving this later on. The owner was really kind and it felt like a family shop in the right ways. Definitely recommend it for a something new to try in Pflugerville!
