“This is not American Chinese this is authentic Chinese in a fully automated platform. Step 1 order right when you walk in on the touch screen Step 2 Scan your receipts and a door will open up with your food Step 3 wash your hands Step 4 eat I thought it was fun. I don’t know if I loved the food I ordered. Sweet things in dough kinda gross me out a bit. I will come back and get something else.”

“Hands down one of my new favorite places to eat in Austin! Spread is extremely cute, clean, and local, and the food is absolutely incredible. They make everything in-house (and I really mean everything); their bread, pastries, jams, hummus, pickles, chips, EVERYTHING. I’ve tried many things on the menu and nothing has ever disappointed. It can be a little pricey but for the quality and experience it’s what I’m willing to pay. I’m just excited for when they finally open dinner service in early March!!”

“We ate at the cafe on 7-9-19. Our food was fine and the atmosphere was fine, EXCEPT for the youngish woman working at the cashier. We came in and asked if the cafe was open and she said not for 15 minutes. Then later we asked (for future reference) about breakfast and she said it was over. Turns out we COULD have had breakfast when we arrived, which we would have liked, and that when she said the cafe was closed, that meant closed FOR LUNCH (even though all we'd said was "is the cafe open yet?). This youngish woman (she wears glasses) clearly hated us, and all human life in the museum and cafe (possibly excepting herself, possibly not). She was rude and just this short of hostile. The cafe would be a nice place if not for her. She nearly ruined our visit entirely.”

“We complain about the Austin that once was while overlooking the people keeping the dream of a local, interesting community alive. The vibrant colors seep into my pours as the intentions of a dream allow the customers to step into the culture of a family. The owners, cook, employees, mother, father, and kids shine brighter than the radiant mix of colors gleaming from each carefully selected area to sit. Walls covered in design that cause me to daydream of another tattoo. How can I make the sensations of each bite of avocado toast last? Why have I collected so many points at an establishment filled with individuals carefully hired to give an illusion of interesting? Here I can get contact information for art that inspires my imagination. I’ve analyzed the collage of customers fastened tight to the wall of my point collector finding false authenticity. Here I can groove to the intentional playlist that is a reminder of the concrete as it devoured my skin as I got up to try to stick the six set that my skateboard wants to soar above. When will my hunger return so I come back and try the next thing on the menu? Could I eat again, you know store for later, since they might be closed the next time I’m hungry? How can I make more money to become a regular? Feeding my desire for substance through food and vibrations, I’ve found a new space to write.”

“I love O's! Perfect little gem that nobody really knows about. My only problem is they've recently replaced limes with lemons in their burrito bar and literally nobody puts lemons in their tacos/burritos/bowls”

“Typical diner fare in a diner atmosphere. This place was quick, and relatively inexpensive. Service was a bit quirky and odd. I wouldn't rush back, but I wouldn't avoid it for breakfast or lunch.”

“Corner Store a.k.a. Circle K is business companions w/ Valero at this location. I stopped here cause I was running on empty & needed a fill-up. Clerk was helpful. Both the store and the restrooms were clean. Merchandise organized, & well-stocked. Easy to find a myriad of drinks, snacks & necessaries. Typical hot dogs, etc. on turning hot rack. Constant foot traffic here so must be doing things well! Easy to get to even in congested traffic. Was in the perfect location for me today.”

“I don't care for the food or service, but their ice cream is THE BEST I've had, vegan or not. The texture is perfection and the flavors are so inventive and well executed. Pictured is coconut ash. My favorite is probably the Thai coffee but coming in second is lavender caramel.”

“Sit-down restaurant with bar and dessert options, indoor and outdoor seating, large menu with primarily American cuisine. Good for casual lunch, dinner, drinks. Smaller size dining room. Probably the biggest note is their Happy Hour and their Reverse Happy Hour, with specials including appetizers, "shared" items, and drink items including flights. The Frozen Blood-Orange Margarita was described by our server as "Boozy" and strong; she was completely correct as all we needed was one each for the evening (an excellent value for $5 at Happy Hour). The Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese slices was simple, but excellent, as was the avocado/crab/shrimp tower (a bit pricey, but 1/2 off during Happy Hour). Fish Tacos were very good. The slice of carrot cheesecake was large and extremely satisfying (perhaps the cream on top was a little too sweet). The service was, by far, the best we've had in The Domain, with the waitress being extremely pleasant and fun to talk to (I've never had anyone use "stoic" while talking about a margarita - awesome). Not fancy, but extremely satisfying. Highly recommend.”
