    Old fashioned boarding house rules apply at this eatery. Food is country fine... Fried chicken, dumplings, peas, greens, good ice tea and homemade biscuits. However, If you have specific dietary requirements, this may not be the place for you. I have eaten here a couple of times and it seems consistent.

    Except, this time we went with a large group. The staff was overwhelmed! I suggest that you call ahead and reserve the private room. Our host thought he had... but instead we shared the room with another group. It divided our group. The rest of our group ate in the main room. Food was just arriving for them as the private room diners were finished with dessert.

    Awesome place! Their dining concept is unique to the area. You go in, pay, and then find a seat. They will bring out whatever they are serving that day which consists of various down home country comfort food. You can help yourself to the drink station and don't miss the condiments or their pickled watermelon. It's so good!
