La Carreta Mexican Restaurant

The food was top quality and so was the service. We drove 90 minutes to eat there.

Visited this hidden gem on a trip to see family, and it was excellent!! We had a group of 6,all getting various different items, and everything was fantastic. Would definitely go back, and highly recommend checking it out!

The salsa and queso is bangin and so is their food. I have been visiting her for over two years, they never disappoint. I don't do a lot of Tex-Mex because I prefer the real thing. These people deliver and are always wonderful!!!

I liked what I ordered, but it wasn't like I thought it would be. To be fair, I carried it out instead of dining in. I did not think the enchiladas would be interpreted so literally -- they were very plain. That's not bad, it's just more Mexican than Tex Mex. The beans were good. I didn't get rice with my order -- I think she misunderstood me. One order had chicken instead of beef, but my husband ate it and didn't complain. The salsa was good, spicy.

It was pretty good. The staff were kind, the service was relatively quick, and the food actually exceeded our expectations. 'Only thing they got wrong was a common mistake in that they misheard me when I asked for unsweet rather than sweet tea, which I didn't really mind all that much. Overall great place. (The only thing that really sucks is that there's another Mexican restaurant beside it, called La Fuentes, that is absolutely horrid and it makes me feel bad for those who go in there not knowing that this gem is just 2 doors down.)
