Baby Faye's BBQ

I have come here twice driving 30 miles for this food. Both times I came on Tuesday to try their Tater Tuesday. The first time they were closed due to a catering job. The second time they had run out of the potato’s. I got something else and the food was amazing. Came another time for the bBQ sandwich was the best! When I mentioned my troubles to the waitress in getting a stuffed potato she kindly gave me her cell # and said if I would call next time she would save me one! Friendliest people in the front word and great music while you eat! And to top it off they make the best burger in Texas!

I will make this a regular place to eat.

Work brought us out here in the middle of Texas, and there’s whole lot of nothing. We were looking for one of the two restaurant to try in McCamey, Texas with population of about 8,000. Really had zero expectations walking in, but boy, did we find a gem.

Baby Faye, the owner, works in the back to bring food out for the folks. The staff was super friendly, she introduced us to try the stuff fried (originally nachos) with pulled brisket mixed with BBQ sauce, I requested freshly grilled jalapeño on top of it, let me just put it this way, we devour it! Never had such good tasting stuffed fries before, it was SO good that we went back the next day! We don’t even live in McCamey.

Other than that, the meat choice was pretty good, the patty was a lil dry, would be better if it’s medium-rare.

I'm usually not a fan of mesquite smoked BBQ but these folks know what's up! I wish we had met the pit master. We found this place on Google and stopped on our way from Alpine to San Angelo. What a find! Hubby had sausage and brisket and the bites I stole were divine. I had chopped beef sandwich. I told hubby that it tasted like strips of the GOOD brisket chopped up, not just the leftovers thrown into a pan. He said he heard them chopping it as he waited. Yummy!! The mac and cheese had bacon and a bit of a spice to it. Delicious. Potato salad was the mashed potato type. Not my personal favorite but it was still good. I would definitely go again!

Don't let the size of the building fool you. They have ample seating. The salad bar and free dessert were an added bonus. The bbq is the best I've ever had. I tried the brisket, pulled pork, boneless ribs, and baby back ribs. I enjoyed EVERY bite. The waitress was very pretty, outgoing, and very attentative. I met the owners as well. They couldn't be any nicer. The music was good making the overall experience a great one. I will stop here again next time I am in town, and I highly recommend every one else give it a try as well.

Was in town for the night on business and decided to give this place a try and couldn’t be happier. Me and my coworkers received excellent service from the very friendly staff. And the barbecue and barbecue sauce was absolutely delicious, nice smoky and tender. The barbecue sauce itself is obviously handmade and I could just about drink it as a beverage. I really hope to come back through here again very soon so I can stop by again.
