Luigi's Italian Restaurant

We were just stopping for the night and found Luigi's by chance. It has only been open for about a year. The menu is diverse, offering pizza or simple dishes as well as full plates in the northern Italian style of cooking.
The owner and his wife came by the table after we ate to ask how our meal was. He took the time to talk a little about how he got started and his cooking style. The pasta dishes we ordered were prepared from scratch yet were served in less than 15 minutes, piping hot. The servings were generous and very filling.

The shrimp Margherita and garlic rolls were superb. The cannelloni is good and the spumoni cheese a delight to the palate.

Lunch specials are wonderful. Great service, great food.

Not impressed. Food was bland and low quality for the price. You are paying a premium for a place that is part of a gas station, has no ambiance, and mediocre food. Server was nice and attentive, but otherwise not a great experience. Appetizer soup & entree all came out at the same time, after a long wait, so there was no way to eat fast enough for other items not to get cold. Food was not bad, just bland and unimpressive (think nursing home quality food) No interest in going back.

We did a call in order. They did a decent job packing. Be careful in transit as take out packaging can leak with some meals. The food was good. People where nice and had the food ready on time.
