This place is precious. It's certainly a niche bistro, with a limited, yet very yummy menu which includes both breakfast goodies and lunch offerings. The ingredients are fresh, craftfully blended and brought to the table in a beautiful presentation. Our waitress was eager to offer suggestions for our enjoyment. GF is available, but you have to ask. If you are traveling between Austin and Houston, I would recommend you stop in--only between the house of 8Am-3Pm Tuesday-Saturday.
Me and my husband stopped by due to the great reviews we saw for this place and were glad we did the Aztec coffee was so good the biscuits and gravy were amazing the bread was perfectly toasted, but still soft and fluffy in the middle and the gravy was so good with it. Also we ordered the avacado toast with some toppings and really enjoyed it .The owner was so welcoming and personable we really enjoyed talking to her and hope one day to visit again. Thanks so much for your hospitality and those cinnamon buns you made were delicious :)
Just had lunch with a dear friend of mine here! CHARMING, PLEASANT & COZY! The employees were extremely kind, and genuine and food simply delicious! YOU HAVE TO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!
Just can't say enough good about this place..Brenda and her foods/drinks are a delight. My husband called about 45 minutes ahead for a reservation on Valentine's Day. Imagine our delight walking in on a chilly day and finding our 'reserved' spot in front of the fire and a window with two cozy upholstered chairs. Her coffee concoctions are amazing, 290 Club sandwich huge and inventive..we split everything so that we could indulge ourselves in dessert..hot homemade biscuits served in a hot cast iron skillet..oozing with a butter honey sauce. And we still took home leftovers! Our second or third visit..and our new tradition for Valentine's lunch..you won't be disappointed. Charming.
Wow! What a jewel on the way to Houston from Austin. We had breakfast here and it was amazing. The menu is short but great items from biscuits & gravy to avocado toast. The ambiance is perfect Texas country. The service and friendliness of the staff was comforting and reliable. If you're hungry and you're traveling between Austin and Houston, plan to stop here to eat or get a great coffee.
