LJ's BBQ

Went to Brehnam to run a half marathon. LJ's was recommended to us by the paramedics working the event. LJ's was delicious. I had the three meat plate because I wanted to try a lot. I ordered the brisket, ribs, and jalapeno and cheese sausage. Everything was delicious. The baby back ribs were my favorite. The sides were ok. The line was to the door when we got there but it was worth the wait. I've had top BBQ places in the past and this place can hang with the heavyweights of the industry.

We arrived just in time as not even a half hour later they ran out of BBQ. The brisket was great and since they only had a few small ribs left they didn't charge for them. Mac and cheese was also great as a side dish.

JUST GO you won't be disappointed. Great BBQ Large servings. Nice people. JUST GO EARLY small place gets crowded fast and when they sell out its gone. JUST GET IN THE CAR AND GO.

I'm not gonna lie, we only came here because Truth was closed. But we ended up pleasantly surprised.. here we found excellent bbq with large portions at a very reasonable price. When we got there at 11:30, the line was out the door but it moved quickly and we were served by 11:50. One 3-meat plate was plenty for 2 adults and 3 small kiddos. When we left at 12:30 the line was still out the door. My heart was broken at Truth but healed at LJ's. :)

I really enjoyed the barbecue. The the brisket sandwich was moist and BIG with a pepper theme at a very good price. As I ate my sandwich I looked at what other people were eating, like meat platters, ribs and these people we're having a nice time too.
I forgot they were open four times a week, shame on me.
