TABU Tacos & Burgers

This was one of our first restaurants to check out in Brenham. The staff is consistently kind and attentive. The food is always delicious. I recommend the short rib tacos or bowl.

Forget about Torchy's or Velvet in Houston. Totally worth the travel to ate this tacos. Absolutely amazing, out of the standard ingredients and combinations. I saw the burger and looks good too.

Very good food, not your average tacos and burgers. I had the crunchy tacos and they were good. My husband had the fritos pie burger and said it was very good but messy. And our friend had a cheese burger. She recommended the onion rings and they were excellent! Also the homemade chips and salsa were the best I've had and that's saying a lot! Our food did take a little longer than expected but not unreasonable. So just be patient and eat more chips!

Everything we had was delicious! They have a decent beer selection and the service was excellent. I’ll definitely make this one of my regular spots in Brenham! One random thing I really appreciated was the well stocked changing tables in the men’s and women’s restroom, including sanitary products (at least in the women’s restroom, I didn’t go in the men’s).

Tabu has a setting of a young hangout joint. I am giving a 4 out of 5 stars for a couple reasons. Living on a budget, just watch it. Food is expensive but it’s all fresh so that’s a big bonus. The other reason is the hamburgers. I love me a nice hamburger that feels fresh and has thickness to it. These hamburgers are not that. From the outside the meat seems to be frozen and it feels you can touch your fingers together through the hamburger but do not mistake this to not try them. They do have a lot of flavor to them. Overall, service is good, food will make your taste buds wonder, and the environment is a warm and inviting. I recommend this place for a hang out zone and a nice relaxed date with the girl.
