The Dreamliner Diner

Don’t go if you are in a hurry and sit outside as that’s the area that seemed to get the most attention. The food was a wonderful and very flavorful. 3 stars because the service needs attention.

We ate at the Diner on Saturday. The food was good, as it was when it was the Southern Flyer. But the service... It took 1 1/2 hours for a simple lunch. Terribly short-staffed, the over-worked waitstaff had to play hostess, waitress, shake-maker, cashier and busboy. One cook, and she couldn't keep up. People kept walking out, after waiting an hour for food. MANAGEMENT: Hire some help. Learn how to run a restaurant. Get a busboy.

So glad the restaurant is open again! Great diner food, over 2 visits, my wife and I enjoyed a huge, 1/2 lb burger with sweet potato fries, a fried chicken breast sandwich and a shrimp poboy. Food was great, service was awesome, was waited on by Haley who also worked at the previous restaurant on the same site. Flew in from Houston yesterday for a great lunch! I highly recommend!

So happy they opened the diner at the airport again! I got the pilot basket. Delicious! Huge portions. Fish, choice of fries, and 5 hush puppies. We sat outside, they have a nice screened in porch. We got 2 of their red velvet cupcakes, they were on the dryer side, but I'd love to try the cookies next time, those looked delicious also.

So happy to see the Brenham airport diner open again! Under new management, but still great food. No more poodle skirts, but spruced up a bit and very clean & a with a slightly bigger menu.

Pilot basket was great! - fried fish w/ choice of fries, made with tasty cornmeal breading. 👍🏼
Adele, our server, was super nice and had just made a scrumptious new batch of Red Velvet cupcakes. 😍
