“You would think that most places in Texas have their brisket game tight. Not here. Brisket was awful. Ribs were good, sausage was good. Although much too watery, the gumbo was tasty with generous portions of sausage and pulled pork. The ambiance was nice, typical for places like this. The people working there were awesome. “In Electra for family event, stopped by to get a bite to eat. Ordered take out because to close to closing time. Staff was pleasant and even came out to have us pick our food up as to not have it cool down. Salad was crisp with onions, and vine ripe red tomatoes. Hamburger steak cooked to perfection, green beans were made with real bacon and slice onions. Bacon cheddar fries were to die for, fresh and not greasy. Overall experience was 5+ stars and hope to eat at Pump City Diner again but there and not take out.”

They were very polite with their apology and I still enjoyed the meal. But, taking a little time for to make sure my order would have been ok and calling out my order number would have prevented what happened. “The food here is always good it's Hometown country cooking with a lot of different choices. One thing to remember is during the week they are closed from 2 to 5 other than that they're open 11 to 2 and 5 days I believe it is Saturdays and Sundays 11 to 9 the people that work there are all fun friendly play and they work hard we were there on Mother's Day Afternoon and that's one of the busiest days you can go to any restaurant we still had a wonderful time a wonderful meal and it didn't take a whole lot longer to get it then it would have On Any Sunday afternoon. Try it I'm sure you're going to like it it's very reasonably priced and they have weekday lunch specials that are awesome and very well priced”

“What a gem! I was in town for a customer meeting and they had suggested this place and I would agree it was a great suggestion. The staff was super nice and greeted my group with wit. It was a later lunch on a Friday so getting a seat was not an issue. Drinks were on the table quickly after ordering. The food was tasty and cooked perfectly. I will come back to this location whenever I am in town.”
