Really nice place, food is great, a bit $$ but overall great experience!
Excellent options of Colombian & Panamanian comfort foods (sancocho, ajiaco, pan de bono, carimañolas in addition to full entrees). They also have a decent sized grocery area with a bunch of hard to find items.
I'm giving this place 3 stars because I only enjoyed half of what I ordered. I came in, the place was completely empty and the lady served us pretty fast. But my concern is there is no attention to detail. When placing our orders I asked to replace an item with avocado, but they did not have any, that was my first disappointment but it's not too big of a deal. I ordered an appetizer "empanadas" and they were out of beef; I also ordered my entrée "arroz con pollo" at the same time. I was expecting the empanadas to come out first, instead our main dishes came out. I gave it some time as I started to eat my arroz con pollo but I was so displeased with the chicken, it was shredded strips of chicken breast, which were not flavorful, and a bit chewy. The rice was really good. I realized after a while we still did not receive our empanadas. I ask our waitress and she seemed a little clueless, and asks the kitchen if there was an order for them, then she goes to check the computer and realizes she did put the order but it was never made. If the place was packed I'd expect some confusion but we were the only ones there. I will not be coming back here a 2nd time.
Please take better care of your customers.
Got the Bandeja Paisa dish. Was fantastic. So flavorful. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu when I come back.
Stopped by shortly after they opened, because I saw the Now Open sign on the street. So glad we stopped for a last minute bite. Would definitely describe them as authentic Colombian food. We had the empanadas, fruit juices, and fried chicken and potato ball. So delicious! Staff was very friendly, atmosphere very relaxing. Loved the salsa playing in the background. Also, if you are nostalgic for Colombian treats, they also have a section on the wall with Colombian candies, coffees and more. We'll be back soon, thanks!
