1431 Cafe

2nd time here, and unfortunately, not a great experience. The food was excellent and our server was AMAZING, however the lady at the front seating people(Sheri) was snarky and downright rude. She seemed annoyed, rolled her eyes several times, and was not even close to friendly. She made a comment to me+my son about being in the way of the door when my son had actually been holding the door for several people coming in+out, and then later grabbed the door out of my friends hand while she held it open for our party as we were coming in from outside to be seated. Even worse tho, when I mentioned this in passing to my server and she suggested I should let the manager know, he couldn't have cared less. It wasn't a huge deal, but felt he should know how she was treating customers. I told him I understood it was busy and she may be stressed, but felt she needed to be friendlier and he looked at me and just said "Oh I'm sure she's just busy trying to seat people." And completely brushed off what I was saying!!! As if that excuses her being totally rude to people? UNBELIEVABLE. It wasn't that big a deal to begin with but his response made it so much worse.
Had it not been for our amazing server, I'd probably never go back. Word of advice to the owner-put your best friendly faces front+center on your busy days, and please train your manager on how to better handle a customer's concerns.
5 star food, 2 star service for this visit.

Service is excellent and food is very good. Very accommodating. Good ole home cooking. You can get breakfast all day.

Decent service. Make sure your party is there or they will not seat you. Food is excellent! Tastes like a home cooked meal. Unique recipes.

Had breakfast. Order biscuits & sausage gravy. Really good would have it again. Well be back their pie looks wonderful. Their said it was made daily. Waitress named Cindy. Really nice and was very helpful. Go try their food.
