Soto Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar

Really interesting sushi, well prepared. Lovely presentation. Terrific selection and very fresh ingredients. I especially loved the fresh wasabi. Though I don't drink, cocktail selection was beautifully done and described. I felt like the menu could have been more descriptive on some of the items. We did have to google a few things and ask several questions. I also felt like the sushi chefs were really amazing, and fast, but the server was a little slow in getting around to us. Unique experience in regards to variety and flavor! Will be back!

Outstanding experience...Our waiter, Chris was absolutely amazing. Chris took care of our family...great to have such a great waiter take care of us. The food was awesome!!!

I stopped in on a day-cation recently and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the sushi is here! Considering this is a big box strip mall I wasn’t expecting the high dining experience.

Service was amazing and I highly suggest sitting at the bar to get the most out of your sushi experience.

The sushi was pretty tasty and the atmosphere was nice. That being said, if you go, sit in Sean C's section. I was so impressed with his knowledge of the menu and how personable he was. He was AMAZING.
Now.....the real reason I'm leaving this review. The stout beer cheesecake. Dear Lord. Its like God himself made it. Handsdown the best.cheesecake.ive.ever.had.

I absolutely love SOTO. The food and the pricing of it is fair for the quality you get! It’s always a treat eating here.

That being said, Why did I give it 4 stars? I took my husband here for the first time.
(Every time I’m here I am treated like royalty ((you’re spending a pretty penny I only expect but the best)) this time around it wasn’t the same. )

The service was a 2/5. Usually upon being seated the server will come over and gladly explain the menu items ( especially for someone whose never been) -This never happened, even after I asked her to please explain as I’m not the best at it. She was very hesitant to offer us anything really, she took our menu after we were done ordering appetizers and I had to ask the lady at the front for one as we wanted to order more. Anytime I ordered another roll she wasn’t at all helpful, I wanted to try one in particular I couldn’t remember the name and she wasn’t catering to me, more so just trying to ignore my request. Usually you’re asked if you’d like dessert, we weren’t asked. I know I can say I was full but I mean at least ask? We got dessert btw. I really tried to make this a good experience for my husband but our waitress definitely didn’t help. There’s a certain service I expected from this place and it was definitely not up to par.

Was the food amazing? Yes it was! Still I think there’s some improvement to be done.
