While we've only done takeout during COVID-19 before now, we decided to dine in today for a special occasion since we heard Hopdoddy is open for dine-in with social distancing and other COVID-19 adjustments.

We arrived shortly after they opened at 11am and there was no line and only one other table in use. Tables inside have signs on them indicating which can be used to ensure social distancing, and tables outside have been spaced apart. All employees are wearing face masks and gloves, and they were very quick about sanitizing tables shortly after customers left. They also had a good system for curbside takeout orders, with cones and signs in the parking lot indicating lanes to drive up and numbered parking spots to wait for your order. Also, there were hand sanitizer stations and paper towel dispensers everywhere and a note on the drink dispenser to get a new cup if you want a refill. And they had the two sets of doors labeled so that you could only enter via the front door and only exit via the patio door, making traffic one way. By the time we left closer to noon, the tables had begun to fill up and there was a short line at the front door.

We ordered the magic shroom burger, El Diablo burger, sweet potato fries, truffle fries, and a kids grilled cheese with regular fries and milk (substituted for a fountain drink at no extra cost). The food was all delicious. The burgers seemed smaller than what I remembered and the fries servings bigger than I remembered (they used to come in a paper cone and now they come in a big bowl), but since it's been a while since I've been to Hopdoddy I don't know if those are changes given current prices and availability of ingredients or changes they'd made anyway a while back. Either way I had plenty of food and it was all made well and incredibly quickly. They were also very quick and accommodating to replace the kids meal when we mentioned they'd brought out a burger instead of the grilled cheese sandwich we'd ordered, so we accidentally got an extra meal to take home for free. I think the grilled cheese might use inside-out buns, which is an interesting touch that my kid enjoyed.

Altogether our visit was an excellent experience with the quality of food we remember and all of the pandemic safety measures we could have asked for.

First time trying Hopdoddy and we will be back. Both our burgers were cooked perfectly medium and nice and juicy. Nice seasoning and ingredients--didn't need to add anything. Shared an order of truffle fries and they were delicious! Saw staff walking around wearing t-shirts talking about milkshakes but I didn't see those on the menu. Would have liked to have tried one...

I had the Bacon-Jam, without the cheese, + Fries. It's a tasty burger, but not big enough for the price. The fries are good enough, and there's plenty of them. There's no real service here. You order at the register, sit down at an assigned table, they'll bring the food to the table, then you never see them again. You have to fill your own beverages at a machine that always has a crowd of people around it waiting and blocking the way. Yet they still solicit and expect tips for the staff. For doing what, exactly? I find the whole place overrated and overpriced. Not a great experience. I won't be going back. You can get a bigger tasty burger right across the street at Mighty Fine for less money.

New Hopdoddy Burger Bar in Cedar Park. In great location, close to movie theaters. Service was awesome! Very clean. Fun atmosphere. Cool music. Even cooler beer. Great burger selections. The one in Austin is awesome, so it's cool to have one in Cedar Park now.
