Fave BBQ place in GT! I've been for lunch once and breakfast several times. Their breakfast tacos are to die for! $2 and loaded full of your choice of 3 items on a list of things you can get. Their tacos are bigger than Sonics $4 burritos and handmade when you order. Get some! They serve breakfast until 10 weekdays and 11 on weekends. This is my fave place for breakfast now!
Ribs and brisket were tremendous. Nice smoke and tender meat. Sauce was very good, if you even needed it. Pork sandwich was generous and juicy. Sides are very nice.
The moist brisket sandwich was very tasty! Fall apart good! I was apprehensive about the onion rings because they don't bread their own but if I didn't like them they promised me I could get something else. But I was surprisingly delighted and had to share the onion rings because it was so much to eat! The baked potato with chopped brisket was a hit with my 12-yr old nephew and 11-yr old daughter. The jalapeños were spicy but good and the tea I enjoyed very much. This was my 3rd attempt of the day to find a BBQ place open, and they didn't disappoint! The banana pudding was very good and creamy. The peach cobbler was cold though, I like my cobbler warm or hot so it was just ok for me. Thanks for such friendly jovial people and great polite service - that goes a long way for me!
I love Smokey Mo's! They have been my favorite BBQ place in the area for years.. they have great food at reasonable prices and a good selection of sides which actually taste good! The customer service is great.
Get the Frito Pie. You're welcome. And now that's out of the way, we've been coming here for years. Always friendly people and good food. I probably get the Frito Pie 90% of the time, but the brisket and sausage are good too, along with the chopped baked potato and everything else we've tried. The only complaint I can come up with is that they've changed the desserts. The cobbler used to be amazing, with a kind of strudel topping that inspired games of BattleForks™ as we all tried to get the most of it. The new recipe just isn't the same. But despite that, a trip to Mo's doesn't disappoint.
