Some of the very best barbecue in the state (and by extension, anywhere). Don't miss the handmade beef sausage, so much better than the storebought stuff most places smoke. And, of course, John Mueller is still the unchallenged King of the Beef Rib, which he can smoke better than any other man alive. Of course, the brisket and ribs are excellent too; it's all good.
Only downside is high variance. Sometimes there are off days, when the barbecue is merely pretty good. So know that going in. But, when it's a good day, this place is killer.
(Also, if you don't like black pepper, just head elsewhere.)
Best in GTown! Friendly folks, great Q and a new building in the works. The potato salad is some of the best we've had anywhere and the brisket follows the Mueller legacy...mouthwatering with great sauce!
Oh, man this is good stuff! I’ve been a handful of times and excellent every time. I have brisket—moist and tasty—and the beef rib which is super tender. Good sides and sausages were great!
Had a great lunch with my daughter's. We tried the brisket, sausage, and turkey. Markets makes a rock solid Texas brisket. Perfect bark, moist inside, and the perfect amount of fat. Turkey was great, mustard potato salad was a big surprise. I don't u usually like potato salad unless I make it, but this was good. My daughter's brisket sandwich was worth every penny. Full of brisket and a good sauce. Hope he stays in Georgetown.
