Golden Chick

This location was not very good. It seemed like a different chain than one we've ate at a few times in Mineral Wells, Texas. I ordered the catfish plate and it came out extremely hot which was the only plus for my plate really. The fish still had the dark line down it which should be removed for a better tasting and more appealing piece of fish. We are avid fresh and salt water fishermen so I am used to eating all kinds of fish. The roll wasn't hot and neither were the corn nuggets. My husband said the chicken strip plate was ok at best. The gravy looked watered down and separated some. The free soft serve was good.

I can’t get enough of this place. Their biscuits taste like those Hawaiian sweet rolls but better, hot and fresh. All staff here are always so friendly and helpful. Whoever does the hiring here, keep up the good work. The chicken is always so tender and juicy. Soft fries and yummy gravy. They never mess up our orders like the other fried chicken places. It’s nice that you can see everyone making the chicken. This location is always clean. Love it.

This place has changed since we went there years ago. No more buffet with gross green beans floating in lard. The chicken here is very legit. The plates are excellent and the price is reasonable....oh and soft serve ice cream in the condiment area. Oh yeah.

Marcela was an excellent sever and continue service. Excellent food. Will return when I come back to Round Rock.????????
