Food is excellent! I like the pork belly dish, chicken thigh dish, the unique scallion dish, their garlic bread with specialty black garlic olive oil dip is amazing! I haven't tried the other dishes yet. Cocktails are prepared well here too. The service each time has been impeccable. I reserve my pocket book for this place on special occasions.
Wonderful restaurant. Great food, the ambience as well as very attentive staff. Deserved 5 stars. Will come back soon.
I booked ahead for dinner for 12 at Ajo. The service was great for a larger group. Thank you! The menu selection was good and I enjoyed the wedge salad and the green chili chicken soup. Other in my group had selections that included lobster mac and cheese, lamb, roasted chicken among other. All in the party enjoyed the food and atmosphere.Thank you Ajo for a great dinner for my out of town visitors!
Ajo is an outstanding restaurant on Main street in downtown Round Rock. An unusual variety of American dishes with a great bar. Don't know why it took two years for us to hear about it. We will return many more times and bring friends as often as we can.Our waiter, Michael, was helpful explaining the menu making suggestions. Several of us had the snapper which was excellent as I highly recommend. There is something for everyone, chicken , pork, beef, fish, etc. There is a good selection of wine and beer as well as a full bar.Ajo is worth a try and you won't regret it.
The mixed greens salad had a little bit too much going on that didn't really tie in well together: apples, nuts, avocado, gorngozola, and more. The red snapper was excellent, no complaints on the main. The chocolate log was decent but the I've cream served with it was freezer burned.
