We went at lunch time on a Tuesday. They were busy but got us seated quickly. Even if there is a lil wait the gift shop is fun to look around in. Once we were seated, we were served right away and our food came hot and quickly. Delicious! Gotta try the chicken and dumplings. It's a good price for a lot of food.
Great food and great prices! We were stuffed and it was good to boot. Everything was oversized portions. They have a nice gift shop in the front that entertained the kids. There is plentiful seating outside too; several rockers that are available for purchase line the foyer so you can try it before you buy it.
Cracker Barrel
When you consider the amount of people that this establishment serves it does a great job.
From Breakfast to Lunch, to Dinner
Everything is good.
Professional Staff
The only thing that I would suggest is getting out of this place.
Hire some quicker people to run the registers.
Keep up the great work
The breakfast food we tried was fabulous! Cooked just the way we asked, warm and delicious. Our server was attentive, smiling & sweet, and got everything right. The rocking chairs we sat in outside to wait were comfy and nice-looking, and the gift shop inside is great with a variety of lovely things for gifting or treating yourself. Can't wait to go back again to try some lunch/dinner and browse a little longer in the gift shop when I have more time. Only drawbacks: smokers allowed to linger too close to where families with little kids were waiting outside, the long wait, and it was a bit crowded & noisy for those who like quiet settings.
We love Cracker Barrel for a few reasons. The atmosphere, the food, and the service. The atmosphere reminds us of a time gone by and of fond memories. The food reminds us of being back home and having some "down home" cooking. And finally, the service is always friendly and prompt.
I know this sounds like a commercial, but it is truly how we feel about this special place.
