Old school dive BBQ. Bring your own knife. The charming young lady has a nice smile.
Brought my kids here not knowing it was a bar ???? However, it didn't matter. The food was excellent and staff was friendly. Brisket was spot on.
Best BBQ on Earth and yes the owner is still here , great old music love the look from the 1940
A hidden gem in Taylor almost under the viaduct and across from the train tracks. Don't pass up the turkey sausage. Very good. Be aware they do NOT take credit cards.
We were very fortunate that the bbq place we had planned to go to had a 40 minute wait, so we ended up here on the recommendation of a friendly local. I ordered the 3 meat plate with ribs, sausage, and sliced beef, and it was all delicious. The meal came with beans and potato salad. The beans were the best I've had in my entire life! The prices here were great! The lady waiting on us was very friendly and helpful. After we commented how much we enjoyed the meal, the cook invited us out back to see the bbq pit, followed by a quick visit with the owner, a WWII vet who started the restaurant back in the 40s. This turned our visit into more of an event instead of a meal. You really can't beat the food and the hospitality. I'll definitely come again the next time I'm in town.
