North Side Marina & Resort

Our first trip as a family here with 2 small kids and a dog. I made a huge mistake and thought i booked for june (it was actually July) i did not realize until 4 hours into our 5 hour drive ! I called the resort in a panic when i realized my mistake and the owners did what they could booking us at a smaller cabin called the hideaway. The family and I loved the cozy clean cabin. The marina is fantastic for fishing but not great for small children to swim but the owners directed us to a beautiful beach just a few miles down the road. The resort is full of friendly people. The views and quietness surrounded you. We will definitely plan a trip here again.

Has a smoke house with smoked brisket and chicken, all the flavors & comfortable feeling of that much needed local vacation time????

Wonderful resort to spend a weekend with your family however the dishes were not cleaned properly so after rewashing the dishes we left a few in the sink. Be prepared to pay $47 for a couple of dirty dishes along with an irrational manager named Paul. He's is very rude. He said our cabin took an extra 2hrs to wash a couple dishes and a little silverware. BTW Cindy was very polite and helpful.

Very relaxing place. If you have never been please make sure your first stop is with Miss Cindy at the store & office. Very hospitable and she made me feel comfortable. And Paul was such a gentleman you can't beat that.It was a little rocky but it ended very well. I was excited to go out and spend time with my family.

A perfect weekend getaway. Paul & Rachel are so patient and helpful and are available all the time - just a call away. The cabin is compact with all the necessities for a family to comfortably stay. There is a small market as well in the premises to purchase essential items. Fishing, pedal, kayaking & speed boat are all available at additional reasonable cost. There is also an indoor game room open for use until 10PM. Definitely worth your time.
