Taste of Italy by the Lake

Food is great and wonderful friendly service. Beautiful view of the lake! If you are at Lake Hawkins or in the area you got to try this place!

Great atmosphere, staff, and food!! I forgot it was byob and the owner shared some of their personal wine with me! How many places could you say would do that?

TLDR; Surprisingly good food!

The staff was quite friendly & prompt to our needs during our visit. Made some excellent recommendations and kept a good eye on us on what looked like a busy evening. Our food arrived quite promptly, was hot, decent portions and delicious! My table ordered basically all pasta dishes and nobody was disappointed.

My only complaint was the live music was just a smidge too loud for the size of the venue & made talking across the table difficult.

Final note & not a complaint, kinda odd to have so many light fixtures but only 1-2 bulbs working in each. Mood lighting, I get it. A better design could be to remove & cap the excess fixtures. Could give the walls a cleaner/tighter look!

New to the area and Taste of Italy was recommended to us. Stopped in for lunch today with my wife and parents. The food was excellent. Huge portions!! The waitress was super friendly and attentive. Will definitely become regulars here.

Excellent! We had a large party and made early reservations. We all had a great time listening to the live music and enjoying the food. I loved the bread and tried both pizza and pasta from them, and they were both amazing. Super friendly staff as well!
