I’ve been going to Sill’s for nearly 20 years. Used to be Sunday morning hangovers, now it’s Monday morning work meetings. Simple no B.S. food with a friendly atmosphere.
A great value and usually very quick. The portions are quite large and the prices are very low. The fritters are gigantic! I had the chicken fried steak today and would say it's better than most diners.
Love this place and try to stop by every time I’m in the Layton area. Sharing this review to let people know just how good this place is. With COVID going through right now I did not appreciate how packed it was to pick up my to-go order due to a gentleman coughing right beside me. I would’ve liked to see better guidelines on having people wait outside and be texted to come in rather than jam packing the lobby. Normally being packed is a really great testament to this businesses authenticity and customer satisfaction!
I recently went to Sills Cafe for the first time and had an amazing experience. The whole vibe of the cafe is very laid back and fun. The waitresses are so nice and provide quick service. I tried their famous scone and was very impressed! It was amazing and will be making Sill’s a regular stop when I am in town!!
This is located on Gentile St. Just East of Main St.
The food was good and our server was friendly. However, we were put in a waiting list, told it'll be about a20min wait and they're call us. We waited in our car for almost 30min before deciding to walk back inside. They forgot to call us! Waitress stated we'd get a discount, which she didn't give us.
Scones- could've been fluffier. Criddles Cafe still rules on scones.
Egg Sandwich- bread should've been toasted and asked how we'd like our egg cooked.
Fries- made from fresh potatoes
SOS gravy and hash browns- good flavor
We'd go back and give it another try though.
