Green Chile House

My love for New Mexican food has finally made its way to SLC.
Interior has a beautiful New Mexico-inspired mural. Very well might be the best New Mexican food here in the state.

Service was wonderful as well met by great staff who took my order and was very nice and went over the menu. I’ll definitely be back!

What a great find! The green chili's are incredibly tasting from the queso, the birria tacos and the smothered pork burrito! The refried beans are homeade and not mushy, just the way we like! The corn needed the green chili sauce which made the flavor pop. Each meal comes with a soapapilla which are light and fluffy and go well with honey. The inside is small and definitely needs some upgrades but that won't deter us from good food. We're glad we found this little spot in North Salt Lake, we've definitely be back.

Great food. Tables were a little tight though so you hear all the neighboring tables conversations, especially with loud guests. An outdoor patio if allowed would be an amazing addition. 👏

Pretty cool find in North SLC! Lots of staff for very quick service. Entire meal from start to finish was easily under 30 minutes. We ordered the birria, shrimp, hatch chille, and carne asada tacos. All were really great. The loaded fries were super cheesy! Would have loved thicker fries to better handle the toppings. The kid’s quesadilla was a good buy for our little one. The burrito was massive, but very flavorful! The sopapillas weren’t that good, but they were free so we won’t complain! Will absolutely be back!

We went for our first time based on recommendations from other people. The food was so great. We had the 3 taco plate and hatch green chili pork burrito. The service was fast. We would definitely go back and recommend them to anyone looking for great Mexican food. There was a local artist there painting. She was very nice and helpful.
