If you want authentic mexican food, you can’t go wrong with spot. Great food, price, and atmosphere. Menudo is served everyday and the birria tacos are delicious. Only thing missing is beer but I can do without 🤣.
Wow!!! This is really good authentic Mexican food. If you know, you know. The place is a little meager and their english is not that good, but they are super friendly and polite. Most importantly, they can cook. It is the food that will have you coming back again and again. Try everything. You'll end up having several reasons to come back. I now eat lunch there every Wednesday.
The food is great, and the prices are reasonable. Music is always a bit too loud, but I can deal with that to get the quesobirria tacos!
El Sazon de Vero serves up delicious Mexican Food. The eatery is located in an old 7-11 building. You order and pay at one counter, you then take your receipt to the second counter where it is prepared.
You can order ahead and pick up the food to go, if you prefer. I ordered a carne asada gordita, two fried tortillas stuffed with diced carne asada steak, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. It cost $11.00.
My son ordered The Meat Plate which came with two large pieces of carne asada steak, refried beans, and rice. The plate was garnished with lettuce, tomato, and avocado. The plate cost $13.00.
We both ordered a bottled Coke, $3.50 each.
You can fill up on salsa after giving your receipt to the cook and grab plastic utensils before sitting down. You have a selection of green, red, and creamy salsa. There is also diced onion, cilantro, and pico. The red salsa tastes fantastic and is hot enough to make me sweat.
The food tastes wonderful and I would definitely go back. A friend told me they have all you can eat Fridays and they serve a variety of foods.
The tables were mostly clean and they had Mexican horn music playing rather loudly from behind the counter.
Overall, the customer service was good, the food fantastic, and the atmosphere, okay. I recommend El Sazon de Varo.
I will start with the ladies in the kitchen were working their butts off! Food took about 35 minutes but was worth the wait. We got tacos; barbacoa, carne asada and pastor. These are large tacos. Barbacoa was moist and the other two were a bit dry. Three salsas were available along with onions, cilantro and limes. Food was served hot and each taco had a uniquely special flavor. Shredded cabbage was also available as a topper. We ended the evening with some pastries, cake and a yellow jello thing. This place is fun. I recommend you give it a try.
