Place of choice in town - given that the other ones close early and are more burger centric places. Here you get welcomed loudly, friendly and with lots of smiles. Waiting list (yes the place is in demand) is managed like a pro and staff very friendly.
Menu has lots of options and portions - beware - are humongous. You’ll end up with a doggy bag each time. The place has several rooms but the largest one overlooks the green river and sunset is really nice. Budget is more around 30$/person for a dish + side + 1 beverage + tip and tax.
A real good place to go for all type of meals. Unexpected in such a remote place like Green River.
Tamarisk Restaurant is an oasis of great food in the middle of rural Utah. I had the Southwest Navajo Flatbread. It starts with Navajo fry bread, which itself is delicious and hard to get back home, and adds nicely grilled chicken, avocado slices, a mix of corn, black beans, and mozzarella cheese, and is topped off with tasty red and green sauces. Plus, because of the location you get to enjoy a nice view of the river while eating here. We would definitely eat here again if we happen to be in the area.
A nice place for American style comfort food. The food here was great. For a small town restaurant they definitely care about their food quality. The staff was friendly and seemed always on top of things. A great place to sit and enjoy the view of the green river. A quick exit off I-70 won't disappoint.
Probably the best place in town. Nice variety of things to eat. Make sure to make a reservation. There was a lot of people waiting for tables on a Friday night. I got the southwest Navajo flatbread, and it tasted good but lacked seasoning. Really cute how it’s by the river. One of the best things are supposed to be their cinnamon rolls. I found it to be a little dry, but still tasty. I wish they would find a better container for it as the frosting got stuck on the lid.
