We decided to check out Ephraim's after years of coming to Bear Lake. They have one of the cooler looking restaurants in the area, the food is average, but the shakes are some if the best in the area. I would recommend stopping by if you're just getting shakes. They also sell raspberries in season which are delicious. The shakes are a little smaller than other places, but definitely worth the cost. They have outdoor and indoor seating, and two unisex bathrooms (without changing tables).
Ephraim's is good but not my favorite. We have tried several places in Garden City and this place probably would rank in the middle on my list. We tried the BBQ Bacon Ranch burger and it was mediocre. The staff was really great and the atmosphere is fun! They have music and fun outdoor seating! Lots of spots for big family groups.
We weren't super impressed. The atmosphere is fun, and it's a cute place to go for shakes. We didn't care to much for what we got, and didn't finish either of our meals. Service is great. They have outside seating and also upstairs balcony seating. It really wasn't our favorite for the 47$ for burgers and frys. But maybe it's hit and miss. They also serve scones all day.
The ambience of the restaurant is fun with all the cool wood carvings and country music to sing along with BUT the food leaves something to be desired.
We ordered a kids cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger, pulled pork cheese fries, pulled pork sandwich and a chicken salad.
The meat was lacking taste, the pulled pork sandwich was kind-of like a sloppy Joe, the salad was a bunch of lettuce with cheese, tomatoes, olives and fried, breaded chicken. The pulled pork cheese fries and regular fries tasted good.
We didn’t order any shakes because we had already paid a LOT for the somewhat mediocre meal.
The service was fine, bathrooms were clean but unfortunately I think we’ll try another restaurant next time around.
