Alta Lodge

Our family's favorite place to stay. Great rooms, excellent food and very close to the slopes.

Alta lodge is a great skiers lodge. The hospitality is first class. The food is excellent. The baking is done on premise. It is quiet by 9:00. The ride from the airport on alta shuttle is about 45 minutes. It is ski in and ski out on the best snow imaginable. These are the reasons we book our trip for the following year when we check out. The owners great us every year when we return. It is especially fun to meet new friends and reconnect with them every year.

My husband and I got married at Alta Lodge August 2019. It was everything we could ask for and more. About 95% of our guests were visiting from all over the country and spent the weekend at the Lodge. We were so impressed by the level of dedication the staff has to making sure all of their guests are well-cared for, and many of our guests commented that the staff at the lodge offered such wonderful service and made their stay stress-free (including my 90 year old grandmother - we so appreciated that she got extra special attention from the staff to make her feel comfortable). Of course, on top of amazing service on the lodging side of things, the jaw-dropping views for our ceremony and reception couldn't be beat. The Alta Lodge wedding coordinators, Lindsay and Emma, thought of so many details for our wedding weekend so we didn't have to. We were clueless on a lot of that stuff, but Lindsay and Emma made sure our ceremony had a nice flow (since our officiant was a friend who had never done a wedding before), they made sure that we had a rain plan even though the chance of rain was 20% (and made sure that our whole event was outdoors if at all possible, knowing how badly we wanted to be outside for the ceremony and the reception), they put out heaters to turn on as the night got cooler. They encouraged us to use the Sitzmark room for an after-party at no additional cost, which is a big deal in an industry where every little add-on is usually charged for. There were so many little things the Lodge took care of that we never would have even thought of - we didn't realize just how much they would take care of when we chose this venue, but afterwards we realized how lucky we were to be able to have them take care of us on such a big weekend. If there was one best decision we could have made while planning our wedding, it was definitely choosing Alta Lodge as our venue. If you're looking for a location for a destination wedding, or even a local-to-you wedding venue with mostly out-of-town guests like us, you will not be disappointed in choosing Alta Lodge!

I have DJ’d at least 30 events at the Alta Lodge and have always found it to be an outstanding wedding venue. The food is fantastic and the hostesses are wonderful. This venue has one of the best mountain backdrops for ceremony pics in the state.
